1. What Data We Process
Spotify Lyrics Exporter reads track metadata (song title, artist name, album cover URL) and synced lyrics from the Spotify Web Player you have open in your browser. This data is displayed in the extension's side panel and can be exported to a file on your device.
The extension intercepts network responses from Spotify's own internal API that are already loaded by the Spotify Web Player page. It does not make separate API calls to Spotify on your behalf.
2. What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your Spotify login credentials, password, or authentication tokens.
We do not collect your Spotify account information, playlists, or listening history.
We do not track which songs you play or which lyrics you export.
We do not use cookies, analytics, or any tracking technology.
3. Data Storage and Transmission
Lyrics and track metadata are cached in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) so they persist when you reopen the side panel.
Exported lyrics are saved directly to your device using your browser's download function.
No data is sent to any external server. There are no servers — the extension has no backend.
4. Third-Party Services
Spotify Lyrics Exporter does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share any data with third parties. We do not sell personal information.
6. Data Retention and Security
Cached lyrics are stored in your browser's local storage. You can clear this data at any time by removing the extension or clearing your browser data.
